Fariba Samsami
was
born in Tehran, Iran . She is a Montreal
based installation and multimedia artist whose work addresses and raises
questions about the implications of the notion of identity in the context of
the complex reality of exile, immigration, political boundaries and conflicting
cultural worlds. She received a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the College of Decorative Art
in 1980, and also another BFA from Concordia
University in 1993. She
has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
